And I really don't like loud guitars combined with some.. roaring/screaming. I like guitars, I like loud guitars, but I firmly believe singers should be able to 'sing', not just scream.

Roaring is not singing. There's too much of that around. That's just my opinion of course. The voice is an instrument, it should sing notes. Anyone can scream, not anyone can sing.
